Where the Frustration Starts
Most traders who focus on SPX and Gold futures eventually arrive at the same realization: the tools they use were not built for them. The trade journal was designed for stocks or forex. The charting platform has no options data. The GEX analysis — if they find it at all — costs hundreds of dollars a month and provides no journal, no performance tracking, no education. Everything is fragmented, and the fragments do not talk to each other.
The trader who wants to be serious about their process ends up with a spreadsheet of their own making, a paid charting tool, a separate subscription for options data, a news feed they skim but do not have time to properly process, and no structured way to connect any of it to their actual trade history.
DepthLevel was built to close that gap — specifically for traders focused on SPX and Gold futures.
The Two Halves of the Problem
Every trading session has a before and an after. Before: understanding what the market is likely to do and why. After: recording what you did and whether it reflected a real edge.
Most tools address one or the other. Pre-session analysis tools — options positioning platforms, GEX services — give you the before. Journal platforms give you the after. Very few tools connect the two, and almost none do it with the specific context that futures traders need: gamma exposure, dealer positioning, the relationship between implied volatility and the session's likely character.
The premise behind DepthLevel is that these two halves need to exist in the same place. A trade reviewed in isolation tells you one story. The same trade reviewed against the GEX map that existed that morning tells you a different, richer one. Understanding whether you faded a move because you had a real read or because the gamma regime made that the obvious trade is a different quality of insight.
What the Platform Is Designed to Do
DepthLevel is not a charting platform and does not try to be one. It assumes traders already have their execution environment — ATAS, TradingView, their broker — and adds what those tools structurally cannot provide: the options market positioning layer.
Every trading day, before the session opens, a GEX map is published for SPX and Gold futures. Call wall, put wall, gamma flip zone, max pain. An AI reads that structure and produces a plain-language bias for the session — not a trade call, a framework for thinking about what the session is likely to look like. A Market News AI processes relevant macro events through the lens of what they mean for these specific instruments.
After the session, the trade journal captures what happened. R-multiples. Playbook tags. The weekly AI review reads the pattern of entries, exits, timing, and behavior and surfaces what the data shows about the trader's process.
Education and community sit alongside both: a curriculum built specifically for futures traders, not introductory finance content, and a space where the methodology is the center of the conversation.
The Deliberate Narrowness
DepthLevel is not built for every trader. It is explicitly built for traders who focus on SPX and Gold futures and who want to approach that focus seriously. The GEX analysis does not apply to forex or equities in the same way. The AI market bias is calibrated to these instruments. The education covers the concepts — order flow, options structure, risk management — that are directly relevant to this context.
That narrowness is intentional. A platform that tries to serve every trader equally well ends up serving none of them especially well. The goal was to build something that the right trader — the SPX or Gold futures trader who wants systematic process rather than intuition and luck — would find genuinely indispensable.
